The choral community of Oregon, and indeed, the country, was profoundly saddened to hear of the death of Dr. Bruce Browne. Bruce died Monday, November 23rd at St. Vincent Hospital in Beaverton.

Bruce was a recipient of the ORACDA "Hall of Fame" Award  October 24th, 2020.

 

He was indeed a legend in the northwest as a conductor, a teacher, and a promoter of choral music.

Online Fall ORACDA workshop with Dr. Lamartine was held October 24.  Her first session was "Presenting choral music in the rural setting," and the second,  "Creating engaging musical experiences online." ORACDA scheduled a series of sessions from 1-2 which were hosted by Oregon choral leaders.
